The Government e-Marketplace (GeM), which was established in a record-breaking five months, enables the online purchase of common-use Goods and Services needed by different Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs. GeM seeks to improve public buying transparency, effectiveness, and speed. It offers e-bidding, reverse e-auction, and demand aggregation methods to help government customers get the most bang for their buck.
